Drug addiction is a challenging, risky, and harmful habit that affects both mental and physical
health. Drugs contain specific chemicals that alter brain function, potentially leading to
unusual behaviors such as anxiety stress and depression etc. The present study was
undertaken keeping these conditions in mind. Hence, the happiness and stress and their
relations in drug addicted and drug-non-addicted adults were systematically measured and
compared. Additionally the relationships of happiness and stress each other in both drug
addicted and drug-non-addicted adults separately and combining were also studied. For this,
purpose 60 drug addicted and 60 non-addicted adults of Barely U.P were availability selected
and they were administered Young’s Oxford happiness questionnaire and Perceived Stress

EMOTIONAL MATURITY OF PROSPECTIVE SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHERS IN RELATION TO GENDER AND SELFCONTROL

The present investigation involves emotional maturity of secondary school teachers in
relation to gender, self-control and family environment. Descriptive survey method was used
in this research. A sample of 1200 prospective secondary school teachers of12 different B.Ed.
teacher training colleges were selected from Mandi, Kangra, Hamirpur and Bilaspurdistricts
of Himachal Pradesh through incidental sampling technique. For data collection emotional
maturity scale by Singh and Bhargva and Self-Control Scale (Self Developed Scale)were

GENDER DIFFERENCES IN THE IMPACT OF YOGA MUDRAS, PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES, AND SPORTS ON SLEEP QUALITY IN ADOLESCENTS AND ADULTS

Sleep quality is a critical determinant of overall health and well-being, yet it is influenced by various physiological, psychological, and behavioral factors, including gender. This study examines gender differences in the impact of yoga mudras, physical activities, and sports on sleep quality among adolescents and adults. Using a comparative research design, 200 participants (100 males and 100 females) were analyzed based on sleep parameters, including sleep duration, onset latency, efficiency, and disturbances. The results indicated that women experience more frequent sleep disturbances, longer sleep onset latency, and lower sleep efficiency compared to men, particularly in adulthood. This discrepancy is attributed to hormonal fluctuations, psychological stress, and lifestyle variations. There are various aspects that affect people's participation in activities that promote environmental sustainability. Based on well-established theoretical frameworks, such as the Value-Belief-Norm theory and the Theory of Planned Behavior, this study critically examines the complex roles of social norms, psychological attachment to location, environmental knowledge, attitudes, values, and other perceived impediments. The effectiveness of environmental education initiatives aimed at closing the "attitude-behavior gap," wherein expressed environmental concern frequently does not transfer into consistent action, is highlighted. This review offers a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the main drivers and inhibitors of Pro B by integrating insights from a wide range of studies. Well-being is challenging to define, but it is even harder to measure. Generally, well-being measures can be classified into two broad categories: subjective and objective. Subjective well-being can be measured through certain observable personality traits of an individual. Subjective well-being involves psychological aspects such as confidence, perceptions, fulfilment, sense of belonging, and purpose. The objective well-being of an individual is assessed through economic, social, and spiritual aspects. The happiness index is a comprehensive tool to assess well-being, life satisfaction, and sustainability. The happiness index can also be used to measure quality of life.

COMPARATIVE STUDY OF STEM AND NON- STEM STUDENTS ON NARCISSISM AND EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE

Narcissism and Emotional Intelligence have been linked with each other in the context of performance. The present study investigated variations on narcissism and EI scores between Liberal Arts and math students. The data was collected from 80 male participants aged 18-30 years. The tools used for the purpose described above were the Narcissism Personality Inventory (NPI) and Trait Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire – Short Form (TEIQue-SF). An Independent T-test was computed to calculate the results for the obtained data. The results revealed that students from the math students group exhibited higher scores on superiority and well-being than those from liberal arts students.

यह अध्ययन मध्यकालीन भारत की आत्मनिर्भर ग्राम-आधारित अर्थव्यवस्था की सीमाओं और अंतर्निहित समस्याओं का समालोचनात्मक विश्लेषण प्रस्तुत करता है। यद्यपि यह प्रणाली स्थानीय संसाधनों, पारंपरिक शिल्प और कृषि पर आधारित थी, फिर भी इसमें अनेक संरचनात्मक और बाह्य बाधाएँ मौजूद थीं। तकनीकी प्रगति की धीमी गति, उत्पादन के पारंपरिक तरीके, प्राकृतिक आपदाओं की पुनरावृत्ति, युद्ध और राजनीतिक अस्थिरता जैसे कारक आत्मनिर्भरता के विकास को सीमित करते थे। इसके अतिरिक्त, जाति आधारित सामाजिक संरचना, सामाजिक गतिशीलता की कमी, तथा बाह्य संसाधनों और दीर्घ दूरी के व्यापार की अनिवार्यता ने इस आत्मनिर्भरता को पूरी तरह सशक्त नहीं बनने दिया। इस शोध में इन सीमाओं को ऐतिहासिक उदाहरणों के माध्यम से स्पष्ट करते हुए यह स्थापित किया गया है कि ग्राम-आधारित आत्मनिर्भरता एक सैद्धांतिक आदर्श तो हो सकती है, परंतु व्यावहारिक रूप से उसमें कई अंतर्निहित जटिलताएँ निहित थीं, जो इसके टिकाऊ विकास में बाधा बनीं।

This study examines the stress management strategies employed by inter-collegiate and academy-level cricket players, focusing on psychological techniques, physical conditioning, and environmental factors. A quantitative approach was adopted, involving 100 participants divided equally between the two groups. DIFFUSION STATUS AND IDENTITY ACHIEVED STATUS OF SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS IN RELATION TO GENDER AND ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT

This study examines the identity achieved and diffusion status among secondary school students with respect to academic achievement and gender. Using a descriptive research design, data was collected from 500 Grade +1 students (250 boys and 250 girls) from five randomly selected secondary schools in Punjab. The Extended Objective Measure of Ego Identity Status–2 (EOMEIS-2) by Bennion and Adams (1986) was employed to assess ego identity. Academic achievement was categorized into high and low based on the first (Q1) and third (Q3) quartiles from school records, with 60 students in each of the four resulting groups (N = 240). A two-way ANOVA revealed a significant gender difference in identity achieved status, with high achievers scoring higher than low achievers—especially among girls. Notably, girls demonstrated greater identity achievement than boys when academic achievement was low. A STUDY OF AWARENESS, CHALLENGES AND SATISFACTION TOWARDS EMPLOYMENT SCHEMES OF THE GOVERNMENT AMONG TRIBALS IN PALGHAR TALUKA

This study explores the awareness, challenges, and satisfaction levels of tribal communities in Palghar Taluka regarding government employment schemes. The research aims to assess how well the tribal population understands these schemes, the obstacles faced during their implementation, and the extent to which beneficiaries feel that their needs are being met. Using a structured questionnaire and quantitative data from 85 respondents, the study applies Pearson correlation analysis to examine the relationships between awareness, challenges, and satisfaction. Findings reveal a moderate positive correlation between awareness and satisfaction, indicating that better-informed individuals are more likely to have a favourable view of the schemes. Conversely, a strong negative correlation exists between challenges and satisfaction, suggesting that practical and systemic barriers significantly reduce the perceived effectiveness of these initiatives. A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF ATTITUDES TOWARDS BIOLOGY AMONG ENGLISH MEDIUM AND REGIONAL MEDIUM STUDENTS

This study examines the attitudes towards biology among students from English medium and vernacular medium schools, focusing on affective, cognitive, and conative dimensions. A sample of 60 respondents, equally divided between the two groups, was selected to ensure balanced representation. Data was collected using a standardized attitude scale, and hypotheses were tested using the Independent Samples T-Test. The findings reveal a significant difference in overall attitudes, with English medium students demonstrating more positive attitudes, particularly in the cognitive and conative dimensions, while no significant disparity was observed in the affective dimension. The results suggest that language of instruction, access to resources, and familiarity with scientific terminology play pivotal roles in shaping students’ engagement and perceptions of biology. This study explores the relationship between demographic factors and preferences for leading OTT platforms, Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Jio Hotstar, among a sample of 80 respondents. By analyzing variables such as age, gender, educational qualification, occupation, and income, the research aims to understand how these factors influence users' platform choices. PERSONALITY AND SELF ESTEEM IN RELATION WITH NOMOPHOBIA AMONG UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

ABSTRACT
Background: Personality and self-esteem play a vital role in determining person’s thoughts
and behaviour. Both of these factors greatly influence health and wellbeing of the individual.
Individuals with nomophobia suffer from a psychological condition where they fear losing
their connection to their mobile phones. Research suggests that this fear is so intense that it
doesn’t allow people to turn off their phone even when they don’t use it. The purpose of the
current study was to investigate the relationship between university students' nomophobia and
their personalities and self-esteem. Methods: Data was collected from 160 university
students from which there were 97 females and 63 males ranging from 18 to 25 years of age
which were selected through convenient sampling technique. The study utilized three tools
including Nomophobia Questionnaire (Yildrim and Correia, 2015), NEO Five-Factor
Inventory (Costa and McCrea, 1992) and Rosenberg Self Esteem Scale (Rosenberg
