ABSTRACT
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming governance, economic development, and social systems across the globe. Karnataka, as India’s leading technology hub, is at the forefront of AI innovation and policy experimentation. This paper examines the role of AI in promoting social responsibility in Karnataka, focusing on equity, transparency, and human-centric development. It analyzes recent policy initiatives such as the Responsible AI Committee, AI Mission under the IT Policy 2025–2030, and emerging regulatory frameworks. The study highlights ethical challenges including bias, privacy concerns, and digital inequality while proposing governance mechanisms for responsible AI deployment. The paper concludes that Karnataka can serve as a model for inclusive and accountable AI governance through a balanced approach combining innovation and ethical safeguards.
