Educationists consider that learning is not a simple phenomenon. It is influenced by various factors. A number of external and internal forces act upon a principal to influence his behaviour in implementing quality of learning. In the educational institutions, the principal, the leader plays an important role. The principal is responsible for exercising the expertise in the quality management and leadership of schools affairs (Mehrotra, 2002). Leadership has been broadly defined as "an influencing process affecting the interpretation of events for the school to motivate teachers and students to achieve the objectives and to maintain the Total Quality Management in school".

The present study aimed to assess the styles of learning and thinking of male and female with respect to academic stream of secondary teacher trainees. The investigator used the descriptive survey method to serve the purpose of the study. Style of learning and thinking questionnaire (SOLAT) developed and standardized by Dr.D.Venakataraman was used to assess the three types of hemispheric of 200 secondary teacher trainees, for which statistical hypotheses were framed and tested through t-test. The findings were: Male and female teacher trainees differ significantly on left hemisphere style of learning and thinking. Male and female teacher trainees of Arts stream differs significantly on Whole, Left hemisphere style of learning and thinking. Although male and female teacher trainees do not differs significantly on whole and right hemisphere style of learning and thinking. Male and female teacher trainees of Arts stream do not differs significantly on right hemisphere style of learning an

भारतीय अस्मिता की पहचान हिंदी को संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघ की एक आधिकारिक भाषा बनाने का संकल्प 10 अप्रैल 2003 को भारत के प्रधानमंत्री श्री अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी के आश्वासन पर विदेश राज्यमंत्री श्री दिग्विजय सिंह ने लोकसभा के मंच से घोषित किया। इसके लिए लगभग सौ करोड़ रूपए के खर्च का अनुमान अंतिम निर्णय लेने में बाधक नहीं होगा। इसकी आधिकारिक घोषणा पारामारिबो (सूरीनाम) में 5 से 9 जून 2003 को हुए सातवें विश्व हिंदी सम्मेलन के सुअवसर पर कर दी गई है। वैश्विक हिंदी जगत के लिए आधिकारिक घोषणा का वह दिन किसी पर्व से कम नहीं था। हिंदी अपनी सार्थकता और शक्ति को निंरतर प्रमाणित कर रही है। जिसके परिणाम स्वरूप लोकसभा, राज्यसभा के सर्वोच्च मंच से भारत सरकार को यह आश्वासन देना पड़ा आधिकारिक घोषणा होने के बाद हिंदी जगत को वैश्विक परिदृश्य में उसकी स्थिति और प्रामाणिक उपलब्धियों को एक बार पुनः विश्व के सामने रखने का अवसर मिला। यह साधना तो कोई बिरला साधक ही कर सकता है प्रत्येक भाषा में इतनी सामर्थ्य शक्ति नहीं है इस विषय में कहा जा सकता है।
