Since independence, our country‟s lawmakers have been aware that education should aim at multi-faceted development in intellectual, physical, spiritual and ethical aspects. Each individual‟s virtues add up to values in the collective sense. If not nurtured, there is a danger of values deterioration. If that is unchecked, the breakdown of families, society and the nation is inevitable. So ,not surprisingly, a number of high power panels on education, namely the Radhakrishnan Commission(1948-49),the Kothari Commission(1964-66),the Ramamurthi Committee(1990),the Central Advisory Board on Education Committee on policy(1992),the Planning Commission core group on Value Orientation of Education(1992) had highlighted the urgent need for making our educational system value-based. While other countries talk about Christian values or Islamic values, India enters the 21st century reiterating its faith in secularism. What is required today is not religious education but education about religions. B

Research is increasingly being used as a basis of enhancing knowledge about educational theory and practice. We live in a time of rapid change in most aspects of our culture. The knowledge explosion, the population explosion, automation, the invasion of technology, the rising ambitions of young men and women and several other such factors have made the task of the planner, the administrator, and the teacher more challenging. My name is Kit Field, and I am Dean of the School of Education. The school is dedicated to improving all learning experiences, and I wanted to explain why I think research is important component of this! This involves a brief introduction and then briefly addressing three questions:
1. On what would the learning and teaching experience be based without underpinning research? (i.e dogma, theory, ideology, convenience, prejudice)
2. What forms of research suit policy makers, planners and implementers of policy?
3. How does research benefit the practitioner?

जो करता है तेरी छवि में,
अपना जीवन तन्मय लीन,
वही अमर हो जाता सुन्दर
हो जाता है सीमाहीन ।
परिवर्तन युग में नारी-भावना को दो रूपों में प्रस्तुत किया है - सीधे ढंग से अर्थात् नारी को लेकर तत्संबन्धी दृष्टिकोण का स्पष्टीकरण या प्रतीकात्मक ढंग से अर्थात् किसी अमानवीय वस्तु को नारी के रूप में देखकर भावाभिव्यक्ति । परिवर्तन युग का कवि आदर्शवादी है । आदर्शवादी होने के कारण कवि ने नारी को महान एवम् गौरवमय रूप में देखा है । उसे उसके सौन्दर्य से प्रेम है -
